Getting Older

When you get older you realize that things are really not as hectic as you believe them to be in the first place.  Corporate life is for the young who are so full of energy and arrogance.......I watched brilliant people come and go making mistakes I made and learnt from, years ago.  The worst thing about that is that it is so senseless and the best part is you cease to see the value in the work.  For this reason older people are the best to employ - they are smart, but don't want to rock the boat and don't put their own career agendas first.  When will the world wake up to this - probably never but as we get older, you are more an observer of the follies of youth, so detached.  Its like watching a crazy frantic play of people yelling" Look at me"...no "Look at ME"

Archbishop Desmond Tutu: A person with Ubuntu is open and available to others, affirming of others, does not feel threatened that others are able and good, for he or she has a proper self-assurance that comes from knowing that he or she belongs in a greater whole and is diminished when others are humiliated or diminished, when others are tortured or oppressed.
